Williamstown Seagulls FIDA Football Club is proud to announce that our “Disability Football for Women Coaches” program will be included as a case study for the next round of Change Our Game Community Activation guidelines, which will be ready in early 2025.

Case Study: Williamstown Seagulls FIDA Football Club Inc

In celebration of the AFL Women’s Coaching Month in July 2023, Williamstown Seagulls FIDA Football Club conducted a Disability Football for Women Coaches program. The program involved a series of coaching activities for women and girls to develop their coaching skills with participants who have an Intellectual Disability. This included education sessions, in conjunction with the All Play Footy Disability Inclusion Coaching Course, hands-on opportunities to conduct small-group training activities during regular club training sessions and the opportunity to observe and assist in game-day coaching in an authentic disability football competition.
