Women's Coaching Month

21 Jun by Rob Klemm

What an excellent training night we had on Wednesday, with those who attended able to get lots of individual and small group coaching and training.
Led by Bull, we had Frank, Chris, Pasz, and Andrew, along with new guest coach Tim, and our three Women’s Coaching Month participants, Irish, Bel and Hannah.
Because we had so much support, we were able to run tackle skill activities with the big tackle bag and the bump pads, marking exercises with the Nexus Edge, quick response drills with the Rebound Nets, small square “keepings off” games, as well as the usual warm up and minor skill drills, and one-on-one coaching.
The importance of accurate long goal-kicking was really apparent after Damo’s post-siren major in the Seniors game on Sunday, and the competition between the Seniors, the Reserves and the Superules Coaches was serious fun.
And then, the wrap up the night, we had the amazing Potato Scallop Bake, made by Sheryl, which disappeared very quickly indeed!
No games this weekend, but training next Wednesday ahead of our road trip to Ballarat on Sunday June 29.
Thanks for the photos, Bel!
